Frequently Asked Questions

What are your rates? Do you accept insurance?

My rate is $140 per 55 minute session (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express). Sessions are self paid and then I provide a receipt of services after each session which you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement for out of network providers. I do not accept health insurance.

My rates are reviewed and modified annually. Clients are notified of any change in fee 30 days prior to it taking effect.

Good Faith Estimate

Notice to clients and prospective clients:

When we begin therapy together, you will receive a Good Faith Estimate that details all of my fees. You will receive an updated estimate annual, and be given advance notice of any fee changes. Under the “No Surprises Act” and accompanying law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or how to dispute a bill, see your Estimate, or visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

Do you offer a free consultation?

Yes! Finding the right therapist can take some time, not everyone you meet will be a good fit for you. It is important to work with someone whom you feel comfortable with. I offer a free 15 minute face to face consultation online to see if this would be a good fit for you.

Do you offer a sliding scale?

Yes, I offer a limited amount of sliding scale spots, please inquire regarding availability.

Where are your services located?

I offer sessions in person for those in Berlin and online for Colorado residents, those located in Europe and the UK through a secure HIPPA compliant video/audio platform. Before each session you have a new link emailed to you (or texted, per your choice) automatically or convenience of joining the session. This is convenient for patients who want to meet online who have young children at home, prefer the comfort of their home, travel often, or want to stay connected even while on vacation.

What is your cancellation policy?

While you gain a lot from consistently attending sessions, things come up in life, so if you need to cancel a session that is completely okay. I need a 48 hour notice for this to give enough time for me to re-book with someone who may be on my waiting list. If you cancel with less than 48 hour notice, you will be charged for the appointment. In emergency situations, I usually waive this policy, but this is up to my discretion.

What Therapeutic Modalities do you use in sessions?

I take an integrative approach to therapy utilizing Internal Family Systems, Gestalt, Somatic Therapy, Attachment therapy, and mindfulness practices.
